Bright future for the children is a new york state approved provider as an (ei) evaluation site, provider of (ei) services and is omig compliant. early intervention is a public program funded by the new york state and county, for infants and toddlers under three years of age who may not be making progress like other children because of a developmental delay or disability. a disability means that a child has a diagnosed physical or mental condition that can or may lead to developmental issues. these include but not limited to: autism, down syndrome, motor disorders, vision or hearing problems. a developmental delay means the child is behind in some area of development, such as growth, learning or communication. children who are diagnosed with above listing are eligible for (eip) early intervention program. children with no diagnosis, who experience delays in development may also be eligible for the (eip). if you are a parent and have concerns regarding your child development, you may refer your child to the local early intervention program (eip) where your child resides. all children must be referred to the municipality to access early intervention program services. if you reside in new york city, please call 311, in nassau county call 516-227-8661, in suffolk county call 631-853-3100 & in westchester county call 914-813-5094. someone else can help you make the referral to the early intervention program if you wish. eligibility for the early intervention program can be determined only by state-approved evaluators under contract with the municipality. if your child is found to be eligible for services by someone approved to perform this evaluation, you, county's staff representative, and other team members will make a plan to help your child – and your family. early intervention services in your ifsp authorized by your county are provided at no out-of-pocket cost. to you. please visit our site for more information, or contact one of our representatives.
