Ekos corporation, a btg international group company, pioneered the development and clinical application of ultrasound infusion technologies in medicine. it introduced its first system for the treatment of vascular thrombosis (blood clots) in 2005. since its beginning, ekos has had one goal: develop life-enhancing and lifesaving treatments for blood clots that occur in arteries and veins. our endovascular therapies improve patient outcomes, lower risks and improve treatment predictability.3,16,18 today, interventional radiologists, cardiologists, vascular and cardiothoracic surgeons at leading institutions around the world use the ekos ekosonic® endovascular system to provide faster, safer and more complete dissolution of thrombus.
