Founded in 1984, the coordinate metrology society (cms) is a large membership of users, service providers, and oem manufacturers of close tolerance, industrial coordinate measurement technology. these metrology systems include inspection software, traditional cmms, theodolites, gps, laser projection systems, laser trackers, laser radar, photogrammetry/ videogrammetry systems, scanning devices, and articulating arms. the coordinate metrology society is devoted to expanding and promoting the usage of mobile metrology systems. the membership assembles each year at the coordinate metrology society conference (cmsc) to learn about the latest in-use advancements and new product developments in measurement software or systems that produce, utilize, and analyze three-dimensional coordinate data. what you can expect: • solutions to industry challenges: 28 technical presentations and papers are presented by international industry experts. • general admission to over 50 metrology vendor exhibits offering the latest in 3d metrology technology, software and engineering/design services and support. • one year membership offering complete online access to yearly conference proceedings, cms by-laws, and technical journal archives from industry authors and presenters of the conference • leading industry hardware and software oem user group meetings, technical training workshops, and seminars • general admission to all training classes, hands-on technical workshops, and education and measurement activity and learning zones • access to all certification examinations proctored at the conference (pending prior individual application acceptance). • 2018 conference exam/training opportunities ◾measurement zone ◾level 1 certification ◾level 2 pcmm ◾level 2 laser tracker ◾cmm cognitive knowledge pilot exam ◾3d laser scanner practical pilot exam ◾vendor provided training sessions
