Kids Upstate - Company Information
Boys & girls clubs of the upstate operates 17 school-based afterschool and summer programs in spartanburg and cherokee counties. clubs serve 1400 + children daily in grades 1-5 until 6:00 pm throughout the school year and in full day 7 week summer camps. our clubs offer a comprehensive afterschool program as recommended by the us department of education and described by the american institute of research. the entire program is literacy-based from the teaching of life skills and staff-led interest-building experiences to teacher-led extended learning and homework completion. we fill the afterschool and summer hours with learning and fun. the weekly program schedule is comprised of 10% leadership, 40% education 10% arts and 40% fitness including healthy snacks and meals.
