Amharas, one of the more than 83 ethnic groups in ethiopia, are the original inhabitants of present-day ethiopia. we are peace-loving, civilized & non-belligerent people (nation). these groups branded amharas as their main enemy & waged never ending campaigns (collectively or singly) to dismantle the amhara nation & to exterminate ethnic amharas. the 1975 when the tplf was formed, its manifesto took the anti-amhara ideology literally and singled-out the amhara people as its principal enemy. since their inception, the eplf, tplf & olf, marshaled by the tplf, waged systemic & systematic sustained campaigns to exterminate the amhara people & dismantle the amhara nation. for more than 50 years, singled out because of their ethnic amhara identity, millions of ethnic amharas have been killed, 10's of millions forcefully displaced, their ancestral lands forcefully taken from them, subjugated to ethnic hate speech & slurs, excluded from political, military, and economic life. since 1991, the tplf and olf monopolized the federal government and used the ethiopian state resources to expedite their ethnic amhara extermination and amhara nation dismantling objectives in a coordinated manner. cognizant of the foregoing, amharas from all walks of life (in ethiopia & the global diaspora) banded together to liberate amharas from all kinds of amhara psyche denigration, ethnic cleansing, forced displacements, ancestral amhara land seizures, political exclusion, international alienation, conquests, subjugation, discrimination, hate speech, smear campaigns, persecution, and statelessness. to this end, we have formed amhara liberation movement (alm), modeled after similar ethno-nationalist liberation movements such as the zionist liberation movement.
